Tullow Salmon & Trout Anglers Association was formed in the 1960s by local fishermen. The club (salmon section) has about 70 member at present but enlargement is not envisaged due to the closure of salmon angling in the river at present. The ‘trout section’ of the club has approx. 200 members, of whom about 80 are juveniles.
